Objectives

After working on this module you will be able to:

1. Visit large malls and classify the tenants;
2. Categorize them into a retail format based on their category/ product mix;
3. Identify retail formats of respective stores; and
4. Report finding fo 10 such retail stores.

Activity 1

Go into a large mall (or high street) and classify the mall tenants, categorising them into a retail format based on their retail strategy/ mix. Write down the findings, and cover at least five stores.

Retail Store 1(Write briefly):

1. DWARKA DEPARTMENTS

→ Dwarka departmental store shyam kunj it's small departmental shop. provide all basically items(daily meeds) which is related to our common life. It's like forutine shop which is sehtal ands designed in the proper manner It's like small mall. It's one roof store but designed at the mall. They have lots of items and providing at very low cost. They are like small retailer. We have to picked our item then go the billing poin they give teh bill of the products/ total products bill. It's like feel you are doing shopping in or mall and their price is not high then the shopping is very easily done.

Retail Store 2(Write briefly):

2. APNA BAZAR

→ It is situated in shyam vihar and providing daily life connected items it's like a fortuine shop. But at big level. It's like small mall. But of one floor. I said small mall because it's have long place for shopping. The decoration of the store is too good more than ten person is working there. Billing from the computer after scanning the product. All the process is like the mall. We don't feel that we are shopping in a small store. All the basket moving trolly like option is providing by them check rate of the product Increase there customer in the store. Large number of people coming there to buy there items. The AC facilites is very good while we enters in the store we feel very clean beautiful area as well layout all the items are arrange in series. The counter of the shops is very big and sometimes they give us a loterry ticket. All the facilites is very good in the store.

Retail Store 3(Write briefly):

3. KIRANA STORE

→ That store is present in shyam kunj it's street side shop. Provide basic needs of grains. like salt, sugar and other items. This store is made in one room this store not have large area. But people who wants there daily life need products go there we can go inside the shop we have to order items from outside of the store Normally you want the bill of your product that you buy then they give you a proper bill printed throught printers. The near bu colony resident people go in this shop for purchasing the goods and other facilites. In this type of store you have call, what you want then the person who is there give you your items. Sometimes the malls items 15 very expensive then inside such shop you we get some products in minimum amount. These store have no trollies but they have some bags in which you stored your products and after that you purchase such products. We easily get our products if we don't see we told our problem to staff members they will helps us.

Retail Store 4(Write briefly):

4. RELIANCE TRENDS

→ Reliance trends is one of ther famous brands there branches is located all over india. There layout there infrastructure enhence there selling power. Customer go to visit such shop and then they buy at least one product. All the facilites in this store is owesome means billing process management, services all are too good. We see securities in outside the main door fo shop then there is big counter where two or more peoples are working.

→ The clothes inside this store are in series we easily find our choiseable products. They give us parking facilites and if we buy one product after two days they call us to take feedback of the customer that such product is comfortable for us or not if not they will replace such products. Their branches is located all over india. We easily find these store in any state. These shops mainly in big malls either big roads mear by in rush areas etc.

Retail Store 5(Write briefly):

5. BIG BAZAAR

→Big Bazaar is also one of the famous brands in india they give us all daily needs products in less amount. Their branches is located all over india. They also give us some great facilites like security, parking, AC facility, trollies, Light etc. All the staff members talk very fluently to customers they also told us about the new products launched in market, their benefits precautions etc. Generally these shops are located in malls and rush areas. Alos they give us discounts. If there is any problem in the product and give as a new product. They have lots of products in clothes in foods in other items etc. The online facilites and home delivery facilites of such brand is awesome through this facilites we easily buy my product inside our home through internet. Quick home delivery than 30 minutes etc
