Objectives

After working on this module, you will be able to:

1. Identify the different departments in you store;
2. Describe major functions they carry out; and
3. Distinguish about the front end and back end administration.

Assignment 1

Describe the different departments in the retail store and the major functions of each department carries out. This is both at the stores (front end) and at the HO (Back Office/ Administration Office/ Central/ Regional Offices)

Departments at store level(front end)(Write briefly): Front end is the main department of any company because it is the front face of any company. No any want to see back side of office. We have ot attend, We have to face, We known how to talk, We know how to give discounts to the customers according to there needs. Backs offices is only little part of the fromt end. In any company 80% role play by front end as compare to back end. Both the ends plays cloes not work properly then back end does not show anything. Means if we don't maintain our front office so we can't use our back end in proper ways. So, we have to pay more attention towards the front end. So that our company survive or runs well

Departments at HO(back office/ administration office)(Write briefly): Back office also play a important role in on company basically its main works is to maintain data and analysis the projects. Basically, it is a set of rules and regulations for the office and for the company it's show the steps that how the company do their work. It's check why sales is not going ups and etc. Then to progress it give some to advice to the company and according to the new rules all the members/ staff working properly. Back offices works required more knowledge as compared to front end office.

→ In max fashion if the staff does not work porperly then firstly it checks (in back office) and then advice/ give suggestion to work properly. Their work is almost done in computers and collecting the datas of total sales, total purchasing, maintaining the bills. and some other works. Backs ends focused on their future projects that there new discount, and where they start their new business and etc. Both the work front and via back end is important.
